vacation time....see you in a week.

a while ago my friend showed me a few batik stamps that her father had given her from his trips to indonesia. they're pretty darn amazing. the stamps themselves are pieces of art...sometimes more interesting to me than the images they create. these don't quite translate via the computer but i think they're worth taking a peek at anyway.

i saw potter gywn hanssen pigott's home in the australian vogue living last month. i love her splashes of color. i especially love the view from her kitchen in to her dining room.

apparently i'm in to some sort of wicker/woven thing these days...loving and wearing.

pier 1 has quietly slipped under my radar over the past few years. however, this chair and this lamp are quite lovely and may warrant a return visit...

2 images that i've been staring at a while now. the blankets on both of these beds are so beautiful.
i especially love the addition of the striped pillowcases in the second image.
(can't remember where the first image came from, the second is from the july 2006 issue of living, etc.)

a few days ago i saw these wonderful crochet squares by laura normadin on lena's blog. then today i saw laura's bottles and felt trivets on her blog and am totally in love.
